Season three of Mork & Mindy began airing on November 13, 1980 on ABC-TV. The third season concluded after 22 episodes on May 14, 1981.
Season Overview
For Season 3, Jeanie, Remo, and Nelson were retained as regulars with Jeanie and Remo having opened a restaurant. Nelson was no longer into politics and wore more casual clothes.
Mindy's father and grandmother returned to the series. The show acknowledged this attempt to restore its original premise, with the third season's hour-long opener titled "Putting The Ork Back in Mork".
Several new supporting characters were added to the lineup. Joining were two children from the day-care center where Mork worked named Lola and Stephanie. Also added was Mindy's close friend Glenda Faye Comstock (Crissy Wilzak), a lovely young widow whom Nelson falls for. Wilzak lasted one season as a regular.
When these ideas failed to improve ratings, many wilder ideas were tried to attempt to capitalize on Williams' comedic talents. The season ended at number 49 in the ratings.

Mindy's efforts to make Mork act like a normal earthling backfire, radically changing his personality. Upon learning of this situation from Mork & Mindy, Orson sends the most respected Orkan elder to Earth to help Mork regain his Orkan traits. The Elder (whose name is actually the sound of "blowing a raspberry") converts the attic to a typical Orkan house, hoping it will help Mork revert to his old Orkan ways. If Mork fails, he will be sent back to Ork and be ostracized from the other Orkans.

| Mindy teaches Mork about practical jokes, but Mork does not quite get the hang of them. After a disastrous prank from Mork that involves assembling her jeep in the living room, Mindy moves out to live with Glenda Faye for a while. Glenda convinces Mindy to go back to Mork. | ||||||

| Mork kidnaps a chimpanzee from the zoo saying he was being treated badly. Exidor investigates at the zoo and learns that the chimpanzee's mother was rushed to the hospital. Mork sneaks in to the zoo and reunites the chimp and its mother. | ||||||

| Mindy applies for a job at a TV station. After speaking her mind to the station manager Miles Sternhagen, she get hired. A blizzard keeps newscasters from getting to the station, so Mindy has to do the whole news show herself with help from Mork.

| Mindy has a broken record player that the repairman Augustus J. Strand won't fix for a second time. Mork wants to get revenge on Strand, so he puts him on trial before a jury of broken appliances that are in the repair shop.

| Robin Williams is in town to do a live Solar Energy Benefit show and Mindy can't get an interview. Mork does not think he looks anything like Robin Williams, but he gets chased by a mob of fans. Mork gets Mindy and himself into Robin Williams' dressing room, leading to a face-to-face interview with him.

| Mindy goes away for the weekend, and Mork goes crazy missing her. The Orkan Elder comes to visit and regrets that Mindy isn't there. He tries to clone Mindy, but each clone is worse than the last. Now Mork must deactivate the defective Mindys before they can cause any trouble. | ||||||

| Grandma Cora comes to visit, but the trip takes a turn for the worse when she gets mugged. Cora feels very scared and Mork thinks up a plan to get even with the muggers.

Mork learns about gossip after Mindy gets her own gossip show. Mindy thinks she won't be able to get those kinds of stories, so Mork gets some for her. While taking her place on the show, he spreads gossip about his friends. Mindy makes Mork apologize on the air. Mork also convinces Mr. Sternhagen to drop the show.
